Xcalibur offers two airborne gravimetric survey systems, for on-shore projects the Pacific Aerospace P-750 and off-shore the Britten-Norman Twin Turbine Islander (BN-2T). Both these installations include a GT-2A gravimeter with wing-tip or tail mounted magnetometers. The Twin Turbine Islander is optimally suited for over-water gravimetric/magnetic surveys, and thus fulfills safety requirements normally prescribed by oil and gas companies.

Both these aircraft types have the proven capability of flying stable at low speeds allowing the application of short wavelength filters and thus facilitating the collection of good gravity data.

Examples of airborne gravity survey data are shown below. Spatial resolution is typically of the order of 1.5 – 2 km.
